1. Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Let them know you are expecting a baby and you want to know what your breast pump insurance coverage is.
  2. Make sure you ask if they cover electric breast pumps which can express both breast at the same time. Are you restricted to certain brands of breast pump?
  3. Ask if they cover any upgrade options such as internal, rechargeable batteries.
  4. Ask when you can receive your breast pump. For example, are you required to wait until your baby is born or can you receive the breast pump while you are still pregnant?
  5. Ask if you can obtain your breast pump through Breast Pump Depot.
